Pastor Dan Garlitz grew up in the home of an Apostolic preacher. In 1965, he married his sweetheart, Sandy Palmer. From 1966-1970, Bro. & Sis. Garlitz assisted Bro. Williamson in the Keyser, WV church, serving as worship leader and Sunday School directors.

In 1970, Bro. & Sis. Garlitz felt the call of God to evangelize full time which they did until 1972. In 1972, they assumed the pastorate of Chesapeake Apostolic Church in Chesapeake, WV. During this time, Bro. Garlitz served the West Virginia District as Section 5 Youth Leader; WV. District Youth Secretary; and the WV District Youth President.

After 5 years in Chesapeake, Bro. & Sis. Garlitz moved to Uniontown, PA desiring to pioneer a new work for God. During their thirteen years there, they saw many come into the Truth and a solid work still exists there today. While in Pennsylvania, he served the PA District as District Youth President, Section 3 Presbyter and District Superintendent.

In 1990, Bro. & Sis. Garlitz resigned the work in Uniontown, PA and returned home to Keyser, WV to serve as pastor with then retiring Bro. Williamson. Since returning to the WV District, Bro. Garlitz has served Section 2 Presbyter, District Secretary/Treasurer and is presently the WV District Superintendent.

Bro. Garlitz has been on numerous missions’ trips; including Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi, and Chile. During these trips he has seen many receive the Holy Ghost and many miraculous healings.

Pastor Garlitz likes it when the Mountaineers are winning and he enjoys time spent in the Wonderful West Virginia forests hunting but his greatest joy is being a part of what god is doing in Mineral County and around the world.
